Golden Age (1919-1940)

After Charles Lindbergh’s solo New York to Paris flight, which greatly inspired every American, flying became the topic of the day. No longer were the old Jennys adequate for the new era of aviation. To fill this great demand for new aircraft, manufacturers sprung up overnight building a variety of new, modern aircraft for what later became known as the “Lindbergh Era”.

Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome delights in recreating this golden age with its stable of late 20s and 30s aircraft. On Saturdays see them race, stunt and perform popular air show acts of the period just as barnstormers did over seventy years ago.

Below you will find a list of Golden Age aircraft that are currently part of the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome collection. Click on the associated links for additional information.
