Pioneer Era (1900-1913)

In 1903, The Wrights took to the air and for the next decade aviation’s Pioneers developed machines that made flying increasingly reliable and exciting. We honor the Wrights, Voisin, Farman, Curtiss, Bleriot, and others by restoring, building, and flying these early aircraft in our air shows. Just as at early air meets, pilots perform feats of “derring-do” demonstrating the rapid development of practical flight prior to WWI.
