Whether you Fly or Drive In, you’ll smile at the visiting classics complementing the Aerodrome collection. They’ll be on display along with our WWI Airshow. Museum and grounds open from 10am to 5pm. The show kicks off at 2pm with our vintage fashion show and car parade and then the flying begins at 2:30pm and goes until 4pm. The show highlights the Pioneer era before WWI, a WWI show teaser, and the Golden Age of Aviation in the ’20s and ’30s.
Fly Ins be sure to call for briefing/permission. Note Biplane Ride operations and the field closes at 1 PM to 4 PM for Air Shows.
Also come meet Theasa Tuohy who is the daughter and namesake of a pioneering pilot who flew a Curtiss Jenny with an OX-5 engine. She is the author of The Five O’Clock Follies and is a longtime journalist who worked for five daily newspapers and the Associated Press. Theasa will be on hand to do a book signing and reading on her newest novel Flying Jenny starting at 12pm. Kaylie Jones Books is a cohost for this event.
