Fleet Finch 16-B

The Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome’s Fleet is presently decorated in the blue and yellow colors of the Roosevelt School of Aviation and has a five-cylinder Kinner radial engine. Known for their ruggedness and reliability, Fleet Finch 16Bs were used extensively in the training of Canadian RCAF pilots during the Second World War. For many years the Fleet was a true workhorse of the Aerodrome doing more than its share of balloon bursting, ribbon cutting and bombing. It was also used to bring countless camera crews from newspapers, TV networks and magazines from around the world to photograph and experience the Aerodrome from the air.
