The Best Way to See the Valley
Our half-hour Lighthouse is a breathtaking way to see what even Cornelius Vanderbilt could not. From Saugerties Light, winding down the River, past Rondout Light, and south to Esopus Meadows Light there are spectacular vistas of the Taconics, Berkshires, and Catskills. Along the way you’ll see historic mansions, the FDR library, and a number of estates preserved by a variety of organizations.
You’ll be flying in history as well–in an open cockpit 1929 New Standard D-25. We’ll supply a route guide. You bring your camera and sense of adventure. The Lighthouse Tour is $300 per person with a minimum of two and maximum of four passengers per flight. The tours are available on weekdays 10 AM-5 PM by reservation or first come first served. To reserve your flight, call 845-752-3200. We believe in safety first, so flights are always dependent on aircraft safety, weather conditions and pilot availability. If you are touring in cooler weather (early spring–late fall) layer up, as there is no way to heat an open cockpit.
